A war state of mind
Trying to avoid the seemingly unavoidable
We've entered a battlefield that we don't know
Using as armour solitude and masks
Hiding our fear and anger from our foe
One person 's trying to deal with her grief
Still mourning the death of a loved one she lost
The loved one is doomed to have a lonesome departure
With a few people present while his grave's being crossed
Another's surrounded with nothing but walls
Desparately trying to hold his head high
All's quiet, all's still, but his voice is unheard
And the demons inside he can no longer deny
One person's helplessly standing still
While he sees his future fading away
How long can he carry the burden of ignorance
And how many bills will he be able to pay?
Another is hiding from the malice outside
Anxiously waiting for life to restart
Thinking of loved ones he cannot embrace
Hoping that fear won't tear him apart
Another is fighting in the frontline of war
Desparate to control the damage ahead
Courageously, willingly challenged each day
This all to inhibit the virus to spread
Trying to defeat the seemingly undefeatable
We are all fighting our separate war
For our foe is wearing a mask as well
Hiding chaos, destruction, death and more...
